Dental Checkups & Cleanings

Every six months, our team recommends coming in for a checkup and cleaning, which includes a thorough preventive oral cancer screening. You’ll spend one-on-one time with your dentist in Carthage as well as your dental hygienist for a thorough cleaning. We’ll inform you of any diagnoses and treatment recommendations and send you on your way with a clean and refreshed smile!

Nightguards for Bruxism

Teeth grinding and clenching can be a serious cause for concern, especially when it’s left unchecked. It can lead to worn-down and cracked teeth, or even place strain and tension on your jaw joints, causing pain and disrupting their function. With a customized nightguard, you can cushion your teeth and jaw to prevent any harm while you sleep.

Fluoride Treatment

Fluoride is a naturally occurring mineral found in soil, water, and many types of rock. Because of its natural cavity-fighting properties, it’s also added to many municipal water supplies and dental hygiene products like toothpaste. Fluoride helps strengthen tooth enamel and protect against decay. Our team can apply a quick and gentle fluoride treatment following your cleaning to help your teeth stay healthy until your next visit.

Silver Diamine Fluoride

Silver diamine fluoride is a quick, non-invasive liquid that stops cavities from progressing, making it useful for root decay, medically complex patients, or anyone who needs a temporary solution before a full restoration. The treated decay turns dark, so it’s typically recommended for areas that aren’t highly visible. If you want to stop cavities in their tracks without instruments in your mouth, SDF is a great choice.

Curodont™ Cavity Repair

Curodont is a non-invasive cavity repair treatment that allows our team to address small cavities without any tooth modification, numbing, or fillings. It uses self-assembling peptides (SAPs) to slow the progression of early decay and rebuild enamel. Best of all, this treatment is great for all ages and is completely pain-free!

Dental Sealants

For our patients who are at a higher risk of developing cavities, we offer dental sealants for an added layer of protection. These clear coverings are applied to the biting surface of molars, keeping food debris and bacteria from accumulating in their crevices and causing cavities. Sealants are an excellent long-term investment for patients of all ages, as they can last for years before reapplication is necessary.
